These two neighbouring areas in north-west Scotland offer drama and beauty in equal measure, being a truly sublime landscape. The remote factor of this place and its ever-rewarding beauty is a far cry for the hustle and bustle of daily life. It is a place where time stands still yet steeped in its identity is small industry in fishing, agriculture and tourism but never does it cramp the style of the explorer. Walkers will reap pleasure from every corner turned, and wildlife watchers will be glued to their binoculars. We are now addicted to this incredible place.
