This wonderful and wild corner of north-west Scotland leaves you really feeling like you've got closer to the Arctic circle. You feel remote and like you've really been away. If you're lucky you would have seen eagles, ptarmigans, otters, seals and many more sea birds.

Reiff sits at the top of the Northern Minch and out into the sea, being exposed to the south-easterly wind its a great way to spot the waves coming in up from Skye. Under these autumnal clouds the light was ever-changing, the land iluminated by the clear air. To the south the Summer Isles were edged with the white of crashing waves, a remnant of yesterdays storm, and to the north gannets dived on the abundance of fish.
